Heavy rain has started pouring again in Rakiraki and motorists have been advised not to use the Kings Road towards Korovou as a Valeleqa bridge in Nayavu has been damaged.
There are reports that buses and trucks are stuck on both sides of the bridge waiting for authorities to repair the bridge so they can cross as the structure is unsafe.
Police confirm that a bus tried to cross the bridge which caused further damage resulting in passengers having to jump out of the bus into the river.
There were no reports of anyone getting hurt.
