Waking up early each day for work and spending a small amount of his hard earned wages on a scratch and win ticket has paid off for a Baker of Rakiraki.

30-year-old Lepani Dreu cried when he was told he had won $30,000 for scratching a $1 "Tropical Palm" Fiji Scratch ticket at Rakiraki Lotto this morning.

Dreu from the Interior of Ra highlands currently rents near Pennang Rakiraki and works as a Baker. He is also a volunteer fireman and is married with no children.

Fiji Tattslotto Resident Director, Graeme Brown said that Dreu was speechless for quite sometime and now plans to build his own house.

This is a second major win in the district.
