The Fiji Football Association has referred a matter to the police Cyber-Crime Unit where someone has posted on social media stating Ba has won a protest against Rewa and will replace them in the semifinal against Suva in the Vodafone Fiji Fact.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel has dismissed these comments saying he never made any such announcement and in fact no protest has been lodged by any team.
Patel said he wants to make it clear that Rewa has qualified for the semifinal and they will play, not Ba as stated on social media.
He has warned people who share false and defamatory information on social media that they will no longer tolerate this behaviour.
The Vodafone Fiji Fact semifinals will be played next Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Labasa will face Nadi at 3pm while Suva will take Rewa at 5pm.
The final will be played at 3pm on Sunday.
