A Suva lawyer will be seeking damages from the Courts as a result of being acquitted on charges brought forward by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Rajendra Chaudhry said his lawyers are currently preparing legal documents to take FICAC to court.
Chaudhry pleaded not guilty to a charge of obstructing a FICAC officer in the execution of her duty and was acquitted of the charges.
FICAC alleged that in April 2008, Chaudhry had willfully obstructed Loraini Seru, a FICAC officer, in due execution of her duty by preventing access to a witness.
