New Zealand has received a major blow on the eve of the USA Sevens with veteran Lote Raikabula forced out with injury.

Raikabula suffered an ankle strain during training yesterday.

He was captaining the side in the absence of the injured DJ Forbes.

Tomasi Cama Junior now takes over the captaincy duties for this fifth round of the World Series.

Cama is the first Fijian to captain a New Zealand Sevens side.

Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji Sevens team has been named to play England tomorrow in the first match of the USA Sevens.

The starting seven include Ulaiyasi Lawavou, Jone Vota, Manueli Laqai, Joji Raqamate, Ilai Tinai, Setefano Cakau and Samisoni Viriviri.

Fiji will play England at 12pm tomorrow.

We then face Scotland at 3.19pm tomorrow and Portugal at 8am Sunday.

The Cup quarters start at 1.52pm Sunday.
