A prominent radio station in New Zealand has collected over a $1million worth of goods including food, clothing, medical supplies, water, bedding, stationary and other essential items in Fiji Flood Appeal.

The staff of Radio Tarana is currently in Fiji and is based in the western division to give out the relief supplies to the flood victims. The sorting and distributing is being done after the initial assessment of places to distribute in the next three weeks.

More than 300 people assisted in the Flood Appeal as volunteers while donations came from not only former Fiji citizens but also from local Kiwis as the appeal was done nationwide in mainstream media.

The Radio Station will be sending relief items to Labasa as well as it believes the people of Labasa are rarely looked after.
