As the cyclone season officially starts next week, it has been revealed that the Nadi Weather Officer is unable to provide accurate weather information for the Central/Eastern and Northern Divisions.

Speaking to Village News, Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad said they are facing major difficulties in monitoring weather patterns correctly, as they still do not have radars in these critical areas.

Prasad also revealed that due to a land dispute, the Northern Division remains without a radar system to help warn people before disaster strikes.
