The race to the playoffs have now gone down to the wire when leaders of the Super Rugby table, the Chiefs, will face the Hurricanes who are placed eighth on the table but are one point outside the top six teams.

Super Rugby fans will have to wait until the final match of the tournament=s longest regular season to find out which six teams of eight still in contention will compete in the playoffs.

The match between Bulls and Lions is expected to furnish the last piece of the playoff puzzle while defending champion Reds will be struggling to bridge the five point gap between the top teams.

Meanwhile, the question of which teams will finish in first and second place and earn a bye in the first stage of the playoffs is yet to be decided.

The Chiefs still top the standings by a point from the Stormers with 63 points, after taking a bonus point from their loss to the Crusaders.

The Brumbies are in third place with 58 points, four points behind the Stormers, and can still finish in first or second if either of the top two teams stumble in the last clash this weekend.

This weekend the Chiefs will face the Hurricanes, the Bulls are up against the Lions, the Brumbies take on the Blues, the Crusaders meet the Force, the Reds against the Waratahs, the Stormers play the Rebels while the Sharks will face the Cheetahs.
