The final day of the 2014 Coca Cola Games has kicked off as the race for glory is still wide open.

A total of 25 gold medals are at stake today in the boys division while 24 gold medals in the girls division.

Marist Brothers High School still leads the boys division of the Coca Cola Games while Saint Josephs Secondary School leads the girls division.

Marist lead with 7 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze.

In the biggest upset of last night, Apolosi Ratumudu of Marist beat top favorite Aaron Powell of Gospel High School in the intermediate boys 100m.

Ratumudu said he has been trying to beat Powell and Jacob Waqanivalu since Primary School.


Vilisoni Rarasea of Marist also took out the blue ribbon title after edging out Manueli Tagaraki of Valebasoga Secondary School.

Queen Victoria School is second with 4 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze while Natabua High School is third with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Epeli Batisila of QVS beat top bet Kemueli Waqa of Suva Grammar School in the senior boys 400m.
 
Batisila said his humble upbringing has pushed him through to beat his opponent from Grammar.

In the Inter Boys 400 metres, Batinisavu Uluiyata of Natabua High School was emotional after breaking his own record last night.

Uluiyata dedicated his win to his late mother who passed away last week.

He said he could picture her mother's face while reaching the last 200 metres bend.


Uluiyata's old record was 56.60 seconds while his new record is 48.14 seconds.

Suva Grammar School is currently fourth with 3 gold and 2 silver.

Inia Sili of Grammar won the open boys 3,000m this morning. 

In the girls division, St Josephs Secondary lead with 4 gold while Jasper Williams High School has jumped to second place with 3 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.

Mereseini Naidau of Jasper won the girls 3,000m this morning.

Xavier College is now third with 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. 

Adi Cakobau School is fourth with 2 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze.

Sisilia Seavula won the senior girls 100m beating Elenoa Sailosi of ACS.

Seavula said that she wanted to prove to everyone that her win last year was not due to Sailosi's injury.


Gospel High School's Younis Bese won the intermediate girls 100m.
 
The first event expected to start this hour is the senior boys triple jump event.

The first track event is expected to start at 8.15am which is the Open Girls 3,000 metres.
