The race for the semi-final spot in the Colonial Cup this season is so close with only the Highlanders team confirming their place, but they have to beat the Sharks this Saturday to host a semi-final at home.

The Sharks under the watchful eyes of Ifereimi Tawake, has caused the biggest upset this year after defeating the Crusaders and the Stallions two weeks in a row.

Also for the first time since its inception in 2004 the Stallions and Crusaders have not missed a semi-final, but this year both must face a win situation when they face each other on Thursday night, for one of them to be in the semi-final.

The Stallions, which has been the defending champion for the past two seasons will have to be in their best form after losing twice in a row against the Knights and the Sharks last week, if they are to beat the Crusaders.

The Crusaders and the Stallions game at Prince Charles Park on Thursday night will kick-off at 7pm. On Saturday at the Post Fiji Stadium at 3pm the Highlanders will take on the Sharks.
