Just days after former Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka said that Affirmative Action programmes should no longer be based on race, Former Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase has also come out sharing similar sentiments.
Qarase said the programmes should be need based and assistance should be provided to the needy irrespective of their race.
Qarase also reveals that there was a plan to review the SDL led government's Affirmative Action programme.
