Leicester Tigers Fijian centre Seru Rabeni has been banned for nine weeks for conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Game, after breaking the conditions of an earlier suspension.

Rabeni, pleaded guilty to playing in three Sevens tournaments while serving a 14-week ban for eye-gouging Saracens Andy Kyriacou and will now be suspended from August 15th to October 16th.

He appeared before a Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panel consisting of Chairman, Christopher Quinlan, John Doubleday and John Brennan.

The further ban will now rule him out of the opening weekend of the Heineken Cup.
