Fiji 15's and Leicester Tigers centre Seru Rabeni has been hit in the pocket by an internal disciplinary hearing at the club.

The 29-year-old Rabeni breached the rules of a Rugby Union imposed ban by playing unauthorized in 3 separate 7s tournaments during the summer.

The misdemeanor earned him another nine week suspension from the game's governing body which will now keep him out of action until October 17.

Tigers officials were furious with Rabeni and have handed out a "substantial fine" which is understood to be somewhere close to two weeks wages.

The mercurial international will also donate a lump sum to the Matt Hamspon fund.
