The Rugby World Cup final will see the coaches of Australia and New Zealand show their intensity in different ways as befits a former fashion industry worker and a one‑time police officer.

Australia’s Michael Cheika who, befitting someone who used to work in the fashion industry, wears his heart on his sleeve.

The expression on the face of New Zealand’s Steve Hansen rarely changes - a former police officer able to disguise his emotions.

Cheika, who won the Heineken Cup in 2009 while in charge of Leinster and five years later took the Super Rugby title with the New South Wales Waratahs, has been the most quoted head coach this tournament, not least because he has fronted most of the Wallabies’ media conferences.

Meanwhile the Wallabies coach has deflected suggestions Australia is refusing to refer to NZ side as the All Blacks.

Meanwhile, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen is in relaxed mood ahead of his side's attempt to become the first to retain the Webb Ellis Trophy.

Hansen looked as relaxed as could be, given that he and his team are within arm’s reach of something unprecedented.

He says it is hard to imagine anyone being in a better position to buck the trend.

The All Blacks will take on the Wallabies at 5am Sunday in Twickenham.
