RSMS celebrates 50th anniversary
This is the message from President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau as chief guest at the 50th Anniversary of Ratu Sir Lala Sukana Memorial School this morning.
Ratu Epeli said the school was established in 1960 and it originated as a result of the motion in the Great Council of Chiefs.
Ratu Epeli added the celebration today is a new beginning as they honour those who have gone, such as the former students, principals, and the Board members, those who proposed that the school be named Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna Memorial School.
The President said not forgetting the man himself Ratu Josefa Lalabalavu Vanayaliyali Sukuna for his love for all the people of Fiji and of what our country is today.
He further said there may not be a holiday in his honour but its cessation does not for one moment dim his shining example of dedicated and honourable service to Fiji and its people.
