A group of Ratu Kadavulevu School ex-students have joined hands to renovate parts of the school building.

President of the RKS Old boys club Sakeasi Seru said that this is after they visited the school and witnessed how poor the conditions were.


Seru said the cost of the repair works was $30,000 which was collected through their own fund raising.

Meanwhile, action will soon be taken to repair the government schools. 

Concerns have been raised on the condition of some of the schools that need urgent repair in the classrooms, toilets and dining halls.

Permanent Secretary for Education Dr. Brij Lal said that they are aware of the situation and have submitted a request to the Ministry of Finance for funding to renovate these schools.
