RKS, Monfort face off on Day 2
With the five finalists from the Junior Division and seven for the Senior Division to be announced after the performances tonight, competition is heating up and two newcomers from the western division have sounded a stern warning to other schools that they should not be taken lightly.
We spoke to Tavua Collage and Khalsa College students after their rehearsals at the Vodafone Arena today and both schools remain optimistic they will win the hearts of those who will watch their performance.
Tavua Collage will tonight showcase the pains and agonies of relationships between the mother and child and student rep, Priyansha Chand said they have a strong message to deliver.
Ba's Khalsa Collage student rep, Alanieta Dikodua said they are not taking part in the event just to make up the numbers.
However, Ratu Kadavulevu School said they are ready to rock the Vodafone Arena tonight and will be the first to lift the Tadra Kahani Senior Division trophy tomorrow night.
RKS Arts and Sports teacher Uraia Toribau said he has been listening to the radio from this morning and hearing that the schools who performed last night had powerful performances.
But he calls on people to wait for tonight when they come on stage with their theme “Desperado”, focusing on when a family breadwinner loses his job and the desperate measures that are taken.
Tonight in day two at Tadra Kahani in the Junior Division will see Nabitu District School, Nakelo District School, Pacific Harbour Multi-Cultural School and Dilkusha Girls Primary. In the Senior Division, Monfort Boys Town, RKS, Khalsa College, Tavua District, Cuvu College, Tavua College and St Vincent College.
Tadra Kahani kicks off at 7 o'clock tonight at the Vodafone Arena and you can get your tickets to witness who will make the finals, from the home of Fijivillage at 231 Waimanu Road and at the Boombox at Downtown Boulevard.
