Former weight-lifter, Vilitati Qumivutia was last night inducted into the FASANOC, Fiji Sports Hall of Fame for 2010.

Qumivutia was the first athlete to ever represent Fiji at an International weightlifting competition in 1962 during the Commonwealth Games held in Perth.

He was also the Sportsman of the Year in 1966 and the Fiji team captain and flag bearer at the South Pacific Games.

Vilitati won gold medal in the SPG during 1966 and 1969.

Also last night, Atma Maharaj received the Fiji Olympic Order for his contribution in the development of athletics in the country.
