While many people are rushing to get things prepared for Christmas, the mood of people in two small towns has been more laid back.
Ba Town Mayor Councilor Praveen Bala said he has noticed people in Ba have not been spending much and are not in as much of a rush to prepare for Christmas.
Bala said as for their office they have put up decorations for Christmas.
Meanwhile, Levuka Mayor George Gibson said it will be a quiet Christmas for the old capital as most people have opted to spend quiet times with family and loved ones.
