Quick reaction from neighbors and the Owner saved a house from being completely destroyed by an early morning blaze today at Savuniwai Housing in Nadi.
National Fire Authority's Divisional Fire Officer West, John Pillay said that the fire started at the outdoor kitchen attached to the main building at 2am however the firefighters were able to contain the blaze from spreading.
Pillay said this is the second case this month where fire started from the outdoor kitchen and NFA is very concerned that these recent fires are caused by carelessness and negligence on the part on home owners.
