Questions in relation to the selection of the Fiji 7s coach were put to rest at the FRU general discussions yesterday.
Some were asking, how was Alifereti Dere a holder of IRB Level 1 certificate appointed as head coach ahead of Etuate Waqa who holds an IRB Level 3 coaching certificate.
FRU Chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga confirmed to Fijivillage that after assessing Dere and Waqa's application, the FRU Board found out that both of them matched the boards desired rugby pattern.
Tikoitoga confirmed that Dere and Waqa were brought and asked whether they could work together and Waqa said that he doesn't mind working under the leadership of Dere.
Meanwhile, FRU new CEO, Manasa Baravilala was formally introduced to the council yesterday.
