The Fiji 7s squad for the World Cup marched into camp on Tuesday but the question has been raised on whether the overseas based players will be able to perform at their usual best.

Nikola Matawalu, Metuisela Talebula, Waisea Nayacalevu and Joeli Lutumailagi played 7s last year before securing overseas contracts and should not have problems in adjusting to the code.

Vereniki Goneva who captained the side in 2009 and Timoci Matanavou who last featured for the Digicel Fiji 7s team in the 2007-2008 IRB 7's Series face a mammoth task of adjusting to 7s rugby.

Fiji Rugby Union HPU General Manager Mike Ryan said these players will need to be on top of their game if they are to stand a chance of making the final 12 for the Rugby World Cup.

Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji 7s Coach Alifereti Dere said he will name a 21 member squad after the Marist 7s before the final 12 will be named two weeks before the 7's World Cup in Russia.

Meanwhile, the Marist 7s will be held next Friday and Saturday.
