Officers from the Quarantine Department confiscated products from two shops in Suva on Tuesday which were believed to have been imported illegally.
Principle bio-security officer Ilaitia Boa said the two shops which are operated by Asian nationals, were under surveillance for some time.
Items that were confiscated include corned pork, noodles, eggs, chicken and some other products.
According to Boa, the owners of these two supermarkets will now be prosecuted by police.
The items confiscated have been destroyed.
