Vodafone Flying Fijians captain Akapusi Qera is confident of Fiji’s chances against Italy next week.

Qera said they are aware of the type of game Italy will bring into the match but they have capable players who can deliver.

The 30-year-old added the players are focused and there is no excuse on why the team cannot put up a sterling performance in front of their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Flying Fijians coach John Mckee has confirmed that Watisoni Votu has replaced Vereniki Goneva who was earlier ruled out because of an injury while Lepani Botia is still in doubt.

Mckee added Super rugby players Nemani Nadolo and Asaeli Tikoirotuma have been released and are expected to arrive in the country next week.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will take on Italy next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
