Gloucester has confirmed that Akapusi Qera has been given the all-clear, and released following a night spent under observation at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The Flying Fijians flanker suffered a mild concussion following a blow to the head during yesterday's Guinness Premiership victory over New Castle Falcons at Kingsholm.

Qera was temporarily knocked unconscious and received prompt on-field treatment from Gloucester's medical staff, who took every precaution in line with the normal protocols for injuries of this nature.

Qera came round shortly after leaving the field and subsequent tests and scans have revealed no lasting damage.
