One of Fiji's stars from the 2007 Rugby World Cup, Akapusi Qera's possible inclusion into the Pacific Islanders team is hanging on a thread at the moment.

The former Suva Grammar School student, Qera who has had an impressive season with his English based Gloucester club, injured himself while playing for the Flying Fijians against Samoa in the IRB Pacific Nations Cup competition.

Qera is in England at the moment going through the recovery period and hopes to make a return by Christmas this year.

Pacific Islanders rugby coach Ilivasi Tabua said Qera's chances of touring Europe with the side is in doubt.
