Fiji 15's rugby flanker and Gloucester based Akapusi Qera will be in Fiji in time for the start of the Pacific Nations Cup on June 7.
Qera is the first ever Fijian player to be nominated for the Player of the Season in the 2007/2008 Guinness Premiership competition. He has so far scored 8 tries in this season's competition.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit Manager, Peter Murphy said they have already contacted Qera who has shown his availability to play for Fiji.
National 15s coach Ilivasi Tabua will arrive from Australia this week and will confirm how many overseas based players have shown interest to play in the Pacific Nations Cup competition this year.
Meanwhile France based Gabrieli Lovobalavu who had a shoulder operation, Sisa Koyamaibole with a broken arm and Seremaia Bai with personal commitments has been ruled out of the Pacific Nations Cup competition.
