The Queens Council to represent ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase is expected to arrive in the country tonight as the case filed against Commodore Frank Bainimarama for the overthrow of the SDL led government on December 5th 2006 is set to get underway tomorrow.
Qarase's legal counsel Tevita Fa confirms the Queen's Council has changed due to QC Steven Gagler not being available. The case will now be handled by QC Nye Perram, who will be assisted by Rachel N. Pepper.
Meanwhile, It has been confirmed that Acting Chief Justice Anthony Gates, Judge Justice John Byrnes and Judge Justice Davendra Pathik will shoulder the responsibility to determine the legality or otherwise of the events of December 5th 2006 as presiding judges in the case.
The High Court sits tomorrow to hear opening arguments from both counsels.
