SDL President Ratu Kalokalo Loki remains optimistic that Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama and ousted PM Laisenia Qarase will meet one day and discuss ways to move the country forward.

Commodore Frank Bainimarama has confirmed that he met with Ratu Kalokalo Loki at his office few weeks ago and told him of the events which led the military to overthrow the SDL government on 5th December, 2006.

Ratu Kalokalo said he had a fruitful discussion with the Commodore after which the two leaders came face to face during the memorial service for the late Colonel Savenaca Draunidalo at the Centenary church but they could not get the chance to speak to each other.

Ratu Loki said he visited Bainimarama in his office that day as a Turaga ni koro of Tamavua village and asked him if the military could complete the construction of the church in Tamavua.
