Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and SDL Senator Doctor Tupeni Baba will give their statements to police today in relation to the treason complaint filed against Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama, senior military officers and interim ministers.
Crime Officer Raiwaqa, Inspector Balwant Singh has confirmed the two will come to give their statements today because CID officers could not record their statements on Friday.
So far the Police have managed to record the statements of Ted Young, Mere Samisoni and Samisoni Tikonasau.
The statements will be forwarded to the Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni for further directive, who has stated that no investigation will be carried out.
