Former Prime Minister and SDL Leader Laisenia Qarase has refused to comment on the statements made by Commodore Bainimarama that he is misleading people in Australia.

When Fijivillage called Qarase in Sydney earlier today asking him about his claim that his life still remains under threat, he asked what Bainimarama has said about his speech in Brisbane.

After hearing that Bainimarama has said that the Former Prime Minister is misleading people by saying that he wanted to go to Australia to visit his children and grandchildren, Qarase said that he is enjoying his holiday and does not want to say anything.

He also refused to comment on the SDL's fundraising tour.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Qarase, Samisoni Tikoinasau and Peceli Kinivuwai will speak at a fundraising dinner in Sydney this week.
