Qarase not coming to Suva on Friday
Speaking to Village, Qarase claims that the RFMF does not want him to return and have instructed the airline company not to bring him over.
Military Spokesperson Lt. Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga told Village news that the allegations seem like a new ploy by Qarase to gain sympathy as the RFMF is not bothered about whether he comes or goes.
Meanwhile, Air Fiji Chief Executive Sieleni Vuataki told Village News that the Airline did receive instructions from the military that the airline should not transport Qarase to Suva this Friday.
However, Military spokesperson Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said that he can confirm that no such directive was issued by any member of the RFMF.
Tikoitoga adds that it is childish of the Air Fiji CEO to accept a directive from an individual via a phone conversation and assume that it was the RFMF without checking with the proper authorities.
He has recommended that Air Fiji lodge a complaint with police.
