The Viti Landowners and Resource Owners Association President has today admitted that he was part of a group which asked President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo to appoint Bau chief, Adi Samanunu Cakobau as the Interim Prime Minister after the 2000 crisis.
While reacting to Commodore Bainimarama's comments, Ratu Osea Gavidi reveals that they felt that Laisenia Qarase was a military appointed Interim Prime Minister and they wanted Adi Samanunu to take up the post because she came all the way from Malaysia to chair the Bose Ni Turaga and to assist in resolving the 2000 crisis.
Ratu Osea said they now feel that Qarase is the chosen one to lead Fiji and wants Bainimarama to appoint him as the Prime Minister.
On questions raised that he is misleading the indigenous Fijians that 6 billion dollars will be given to the landowners, Ratu Osea said he is still trying to get the huge amount of cash.
