Ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase said he is still hoping that Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama meets with him in the not too distant future.
Qarase hopes that the meeting takes place sooner rather than later as every step should be taken to ensure that Commodore Bainimarama meets the commitment to have the elections by March 2009.
And with just over 16 months to go for the planned March 2009 general elections, the SDL Party is now setting up strategies for its campaigns for the next elections.
Qarase said he is ready to lead the party to yet another successful election come 2009.
Qarase is currently taking a break at his home in Suva and said he will soon go into serious preparations for the elections.
