The Former Prime Minister said food should come first and assessements later.
Laisenia Qarase, while calling for a united effort from the political community, business and religious leaders to work together to help, said food is a necessity and it is needed by those affected.
Qarase also said the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama should call a meeting of all stakeholders to see how each one can help.
