The Fiji Labour Party (FLP) leader has stressed that ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase must now realize that he will not return to power.
While addressing residents in Nasinu last night on the draft People's Charter, Mahendra Chaudhry said he has been deposed from consecutive governments twice, and the Qarase government must understand that it is time to move on.
According to Chaudhry, the FLP joined the interim government as they believed things can change for the better.
Meanwhile, ECREA Director, Chantelle Khan said legitimacy holds people back from supporting the Draft People's Charter, regarding a possible scenario where majority of the people support the Draft People's Charter.
Khan adds this legitimacy would require politicians to come together and dialogue adding that a support for the Draft Charter by the majority of people would put alot of pressure on the next elected government to engage the Draft Charter.
