Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has supported Naitasiri high chief Ratu Inoke Takiveikata's call for reconciliation in the country.
Although he has stressed that the SDL party will not participate in the interim government's proposed People's Charter, Qarase feels Ratu Inoke's proposal is the best one for Fiji.
However, Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the approach taken by Ratu Inoke Takiveikata is not right and it is seen as inciting people. He has referred the issue to the police.
