Former Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase and his SDL Party will reveal in the High Court tomorrow what action they will take after a stay order was granted to the Interim Government on Justice Filimoni Jitoko's ruling last Friday.
However, SDL lawyer Niko Naiwaikula said he is yet to receive any notification on the Court of Appeal Case where Justice John Byrne granted the stay order.
Nawaikula said he was not informed about the Interim Government's application for a stay order on Justice Jitoko's ruling last Friday and this matter will be raised in court.
The stay order was granted by Justice John Byrne on the High Court ruling delivered by Justice Filimoni Jitoko early Friday to stop all People's Charter work until he makes a final ruling in the Charter case taken up by the SDL.
Interim AG Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum the People's Charter work continues until the case on the stay order is heard in the Court of Appeal next Thursday.
Meanwhile Single Judge of the Appeals Court Justice John Byrne will deliver his ruling on Thursday to explain the grounds and reasons why he issued a stay order.
Court Officials have confirmed to Fijivillage News that Judge Byrnes has asked them to notify the media to be present when he gives his reasons as the stay has generated alot of attention.
They say the directive from Judge Byrne is that he wants to clearly outline how he reached his decision and the procedures that were followed.
Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Judge Byrne's stay order has been sent to the Chief Registrar's Office to get an official seal before it is served to the SDL and it lawyers by tomorrow.
