Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase welcomed the steps now being taken to get him and Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to have an informal meeting.
Speaking to FijiVillage today Qarase said he hoped that the meeting would take place, unlike the last meeting which was mooted by Sir Paul Reeves.
As revealed by FijiVillage earlier today steps are now being taken to get Commodore Bainimarama and Qarase together for an informal meeting.
Methodist Church of Fiji president, Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca, confirmed that he was waiting for Archbishop Petero Mataca's call to set up a meeting between Qarase and Commodore Bainimarama.
Following Archbishop Mataca's comments on yesterday’s FijiVillage Talk Show that he is working with Rev Ratabacaca to arrange the meeting between Qarase and Bainimarama, Rev Ratabacaca said he had already met Qarase about the matter.
He said he will relay Qarase's message to the Archbishop when he contacts him.
