The court ruling in relation to the case taken up by ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and others against Interim PM Commodore Frank Bainimarama and others, will be delivered this month.

It is anticipated that the ruling will be delivered by Acting Chief Justice Anthony Gates, Justice John Byrne and Justice Davendra Pathik within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Qarase and other ousted SDL parliamentarians took the case against Commodore Bainimarama to challenge the legality of the December 5th takeover and the legality of the interim government.

Many issues have been raised in the case including the issue in relation to Qarase allegedly asking for foreign intervention from Australia and also asking for pension to be made out to him as a former Prime Minister.

No date has been confirmed for the court ruling but it will definitely be delivered this month.
