QVS wins Deans final
QVS has become the first school to win the prestigious Deans trophy in the Under 18 grade.
Mosese Qionimacawa opened the account for QVS soon after the first whistle through an intercept try.
Soon after that Apisai Kalivakarua forced his way to the try line to give QVS a 10-0 lead.
Ratu Navula came back firing in the second half and was rewarded through a try from their captain, Jone Baleidama.
But the toast of the match was Emori Waqa who kicked two penalties in the last quarter of the match to give the win to QVS in the dying stages of the match.
Meanwhile, in other grades, Marist Brothers High beat QVS 15-12 in the Under-14 grade, QVS defeated LMS 17-7 in the U-15 grade, Ratu Navula beat Sila Central 20-6 in the U-16 grade, QVS defeated Ratu Navula 20-12 in the U-17 grade and RKS beat QVS 32-20 in the U-19 grade.
