Queen Victoria School will be out to restore lost glory at this year’s Coca-Cola Games.
QVS last won the Coca-Cola Games in 1991.
The Tailevu based school put on a sterling performance at their zone meet last week winning the boy’s division.
One of the athletes who made his mark at the zone meet was Emosi Bure who won the senior boy’s 1500 meters and the 800 meter event.
Bure, who won the senior boy’s 1,500 meter event in the Coca-Cola Games last year said he wants to end his last year at QVS on a high.
Meanwhile, Kiniviliame Tako of Ratu Kadavulevu School will lead the Lodoni brigade at this year’s Coca-Cola Games.
Tako set a new record in the Tailevu Zone after winning the senior boy’s shot put with a throw of 12.53 meters.
Tako said the old scholars of RKS need to come out in numbers to support them.
The Coca-Cola Games will be held next Friday and Saturday at the National Stadium.
