Queen Victoria School has retained the boy’s title in the Tailevu Zone this afternoon with 27 gold, 19 silver and 10 bronze beating their rivals Ratu Kadavulevu School.
QVS looked strong in both the track and field events as they led the medal tally from this morning.
Their star long distant runner Emosi Bure who is also the champion of the senior boys 1500m won 3 gold medals today in the 4 x 400 metres, 800 m and 1500m events.
Bure said he wants to improve on his performance from last year and is calling on all the QVS old boys for their support during the Coca Cola Games.
Looking at the Tailevu Zone medal tally:
QVS won the boys division with 27 gold, 19 silver and 10 bronze, second is RKS with 9 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze while St Vincent College came in third with 4 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze.
In the girls division, Tailevu North won 19 gold, 6 silver and 15 bronze, second was St Vincent College with 8 gold, 7 silver 9 bronze and Wainibuka Secondary came in third with 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
