QVS creates history for the wrong reasons
QVS last week beat Lomaivuna Secondary 70-nil and are hoping to repeat that performance against Navuso this afternoon for a chance to play Sila Central for the 3rd spot from the Eastern Zone.
Principal, Waisale Vatuvoka has confirmed that the zone games committee met last night and under their competition rules there is no bonus point given if a team wins's and scores more than four tries.
Vatuvoka said that they have been informed about the decision this morning which will mean that a win against Navuso today will not improve their standing on the points table.
At this stage the likely team that will join RKS and Lelean from the Eastern Zone is either Sila Central or Tailevu North.
The U-19 teams which have qualified for the quarterfinal from the Southern Zone are Nasinu Secondary, Suva Grammar and John Wesley.
Ratu Navula and Lomawai Secondary have qualified from the Western Zone and RKS with Lelean have confirmed their place in the Eastern Zone while the 3rd place play-off will be between Tailevu North and Sila Central.
The quarterfinals will be played at the TFL Stadium on the 7th of next month.
