The Queen Victoria School Under 15 basketball side has created history today by qualifying for the semifinals of the Tuckers Ice Cream Secondary Schools Basketball Championship for the first time.

QVS first took part in the championship last year but none of their teams qualified for the semis. 

This year the Under 15s from QVS walloped International School Suva 38-2 before piping Suva Grammar 14-13.

The Victorians Under 15 captain Victor Koyamainavure who is the younger brother of national reps Kelera, Milika and Lynn say their hard work has paid off.   


In another Under 15 boys result Marist beat Natabua 16-5.

In the Under 15 girls division Natabua beat Saint Joseph's Secondary 10-6 while DAV Girls College defeated LDS 17-5.
