After a series of successful meetings between the Education Ministry and the Korovou Rural Local Authority, the Queen Victoria School remains open without any disruptions to classes.

The authority issued a Notice of Intention to close the school kitchen in June this year however according to the Ministry, it has been agreed upon that six weeks be given in lieu of the notice.

The Authority has advised the Education Ministry to provide details on the work that needs to be carried out at the kitchen and dining hall complex at QVS, and PWD has also been requested to urgently attend to the upgrading works which will be monitored by the Rural Local Authority.
