Spain is through to the 2010 FIFA World Cup after beating Germany 1-0 in the last hour.

The win now sees Spain face off with Netherlands in an all European final next Monday and a new champion at Soccer City.

The lone goal of the much anticipated semi-final clash came from Carles Puyol following Andres Iniesta's dribble which earned a corner kick for Spain, which was met by Puyol who hammered the ball home with a header.

Though the game entered into three minutes of extra time, the Germans who were adopting a defensive play throughout the game were not able to equalize despite attempts from Bastian Schwinesteiger.
