Put the honour back into the honourable.

That is the message from President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau to the members of parliament.

Ratu Epeli said one year after the general elections, it is quite clear that some politicians are still promoting division based on race and religion.

The President also said parliamentarians should not present misleading information that would hurt the country.

Ratu Epeli said everyone should put national unity first.

He said growing the economy and embedding investor confidence in the economy must be every single leader's objective.

The President highlighted that the Fijian economy has recorded 5.3% growth for 2014.

He said over the last three years, our country has had economic growth of over four percent per year.

Ratu Epeli said no one should run down the economy for political point scoring.
