Former head of the GCC Task Force and National Council for Building a Better Fiji (NCBBF) member Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo believes that chiefs of Fiji must put aside political differences and submit names to allow the Great Council of Chiefs to sit.
Ratu Josateki believes most chiefs in Fiji are not submitting the names because they are being influenced by political parties which, is the reason why most have not submitted their nominees.
He said what's left now is for chiefs to forgive and forget what's happened and submit nominees as this is the only way the GCC will be called again.
Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier stated that there will be no Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) meeting if the provinces do not cooperate.
