The purchase of the new shipping vessels which was announced by the Prime Minister in the 2010 Budget has come at a right time especially for the people out there in the outer islands.
That is the comment from the Commissioner Eastern Colonel Ifereimi Vasu.
Similar sentiments were highlighted by Kadavu chief Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo.
He said the transportation has been a concern for the people of Kadavu for many years.
